Today is the big day! We can’t wait to welcome our friends and guests, old and new, back to La Famiglia. Despite all the excitement last weekend, our grand re-opening following the closures is still today, Friday, June 5 – and we can’t wait! We’re looking forward to sharing the fresh new updates that will make the La Famiglia experience even better.
New Look
We were busy during the weeks our restaurant was closed. Our space on Virginia Street in downtown Reno is wonderful, and with the addition of fresh new paint, new carpeting, noise-dampening ceiling tiles, and a brand new air filtration system, it’s more inviting than ever.
We’ll be following the recommendations of the Washoe County Health Department to ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff. While our approach to sanitation has always been strict, we’ve added additional protocols that we plan to continue into the future. At this time, reservations are required and we will only be able to seat up to five people per table. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
New Menu
The space will look fresh and new, and so will the menu! We’ve pared down our expansive menu to a single page of your favorites, but don’t worry – if yours didn’t make the new menu, we’re pleased to honor as many special requests as we possibly can. We wrote about our new menu last week, and a few La Famiglia regulars were quick to double check about their beloved dishes on social media. It’s great to see the passion of our guests!
A Special Thanks
What began last weekend as peaceful protesting became a scene of destruction and violence. Many of our neighboring downtown Reno businesses were unfortunate targets. While La Famiglia escaped with minimal graffitiing, it was still heartbreaking to witness. What was truly heartwarming, however, was the outpouring of support from our friends and the community at large – the people who came out in droves to participate in clean-up efforts for our plaza and the downtown area. Seeing so many volunteers showing up to pick up the pieces of our ravaged downtown was nothing short of inspiring, and our deepest gratitude goes out to you all. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.
